Heart X Sword 「心×剣」

The second episode of Shining Tears X Wind picks up pretty much exactly where the first one left off. Souma has accquired the Soul Blade from Kureha and has easily defeated all of the demons. Afterwards, a very big wolf beastman comes by after he noticed another Chaos Gate pop up, he tells them that he is not their enemy and is very surprised to see a Soul Blader. He tells them legend of the Soul Bladers and what it means to them, when great disaster occurs in the world of End Earth, Soul Bladers from Elde will come and be the saviours of their world.

Souma and Kureha help the wolf beastmen defeat a large group of demons who have entered through yet another Chaos Gate. Souma finds the whereabouts of the missing freshman student from episode 1, turns out he was killed in the attack, so they gave him a small grave and continued on. After seeing all the despair up close and personal, Souma and Kureha want to stop the Chaos Gates from happening, since with the power of the soul blade, Souma is able to put a stop to one quite easily. Yet, the wolf beastman informs them of even greater problems. Due the massive amounts of negative energy all of the demons from the Chaos Gates are producing, it has over powered the towars that keep End Earth in balance, which has produced a drought in their country and even more Chaos Gates.

The wolf beastman takes them to the capital of Seiran, Haiyou. He explains how they will have a warm welcome since the news of the new Soul Bladers has traveled pretty quickly, he then takes his leave and Souma and Kureha begin to explore the city. They meet with the Chancellor of Seiran, Shumari and are treated as guest of the capital and to a nice dinner. At dinner, Shumari asks them to seal and purify the Chaos Gates for their citizens, and will reward them for the favor. Their talk is interrupted with news that Hyoun (The first boss from Shining Wind), has failed his task and those that would abuse the elf’s (Houme) power are getting closer to the sacred precinct. Shumari explains how Pilius, a country of “bad” humans has been causing all this trouble.

Houme has been imprisoned for centuries in Konron, which is between Seiran and Pilius, which only fuels the battles. He says that Houme and all of Pillius have formed and alliance and plan to wipe out Seiran. Souma and Kureha offer to help, and are sent out to the battlefield with the 4 generals. Once there, Souma notices Houme and goes after, though in his blind rush, he is stopped, to his surprise, by Kiriya, his friend from Elde, along with Seena. At that point Souma has no idea what is going on as he is now fighting against his own friends, and the episode ends there.
